I’ve been living in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Korea</st1:place></st1:country-region> for 10 years
now. I’m currently married to a Korean native and have a son. I was born in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Seoul</st1:place></st1:city> and adopted to
American parents when I was three years old. Both of my parents are teachers
and I enjoy teaching as well. Teaching in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Korea</st1:place></st1:country-region> allows me to learn the
culture, give back to the people, and learn the language. In <st1:state w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">New York</st1:place></st1:state> my family hosted many foreigners
for a home-stay. That experience allowed me to meet people from <st1:country-region w:st="on">Japan</st1:country-region>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">Bolivia</st1:country-region>,
<st1:country-region w:st="on">Thailand</st1:country-region>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">Finland</st1:country-region>, and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Germany</st1:country-region></st1:place>. This opportunity has
allowed me to meet people from various cultures and made me excellent at
communicating with people who aren’t affluent in English. I am currently perusing my Masters in
TESOL at <st1:placename w:st="on">Deakin</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype>
