As an aspiring ESL
teacher, it would be an honor to be considered for a teaching position at your
school.

I was born in South Korea and grew up there until I was 11 years old. In 1998, my family immigrated to the United States where I have spent most of my life. Towns I lived in had little to no Koreans, hence I was always surrounded by non-Koreans and became "Americanized" rather quickly. Recently, I discovered my love for teaching and thought it would be wonderful to teach in Korea to get acquainted with my ethnic culture which I know very little about. I am also bilingual in both Korean and English, though I feel more comfortable with English. Although I am of Korean background, I am a US citizen. I graduated from Full
Sail University in Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer
Animation in November 2008. While preparing for a career in computer graphics
industry, I discovered my love and passion in teaching children. At the time, I
volunteered as an assistant teacher for Sunday school at my church, where I
assisted in worship services and bible studies and translated English sermons
to Korean for children who are not fluent in English. In March 2010, I
graduated from the Boston Language Institute with a TEFL Certificate after
completing 120 hours of training. During my training, I successfully taught 4
ESL classes at the Boston Language Institute for students of different
ethnicity, age and levels.

Teaching children is
always a joy I can’t get enough of and I believe this makes me special as an
ESL teacher. My goal is not just to teach them English but also embrace them
with love and care. I value teamwork and professionalism and also am capable of
multi-tasking and maintaining a good communication.

I am looking to work at a private school with Kindergarten, Elementary
or Middle School students but am more than willing to work with
students of different ages and levels.
