I have a strong belief that everyone is entailed to a good education that will help them achieve their dreams and hopes. I am a product of this educational philosophy and have a strong desire to give back to education in order to help other people to have the opportunities that I have had. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p> Teaching in a foreign country for a year is a big decision and not one I have took lightly, Having extensively researched all options and talked to several friends that are in Korea at the moment I have come to the conclusion that South Korea is not only best suited to my skills and abilities but also offers me the ideal mix of culture and the opportunity to teach and acquire new skills. <o:p> </o:p> The unique ancient history and heritage is one important area of fascination to me, it would be a fantastic experience to see and learn more of a culture that is completely alien to me. To see this mix of ancient culture and cutting edge modernism is a major draw for me to teach in South Korea as I feel it would be a exciting place to live and work in.   <o:p> </o:p> Having travelled to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam I have some experience of south eastern culture that said the biggest thing that I learned from my time in South East Asia is there is vast difference in culture form one place to the next. I am however not looking at this as a disadvantage I am instead very excited at the prospect of discovering a new culture and completely immersing myself in it. The opportunity of learning another language is also a very exciting factor for me along with the new customs and etiquette I will acquire. <o:p> </o:p> A key part to any experience is the food; this was installed in to me from a young age from my father who was a chief. I have some South Korean friends who have cooked me traditional food and the kind of thing they would eat at home and l was taken aback by the depth and verity of flavors the food contains, this left me wanting to try more of the local delights! <o:p> </o:p>  The reason I believe I would succeed as a EFL/ESL teacher is that I am a very hardworking, have a strong character and a huge appetite for adventure and experiencing new cultures. I have not taken this decision lightly nor have I rushed into it I have spent a lot time researching and am of the very strong opinion that South Korea is the place for me I am ready to start and give 100% to the experience.
